Acclaimed actress Rachel Weisz can been seen in UK cinemas this weekend in her Holocaust courtroom drama Denial – read our official verdict here – but we’re already getting a taste of her next project, My Cousin Rachel, which receives a UK trailer and teaser poster today.
Directed by Roger Mitchell (Notting Hill), and starring Weisz alongside Sam Claflin, Holliday Grainger, and Iain Glen, this luxuriously dark romantic drama is adapted from Daphne du Maurier’s complex and celebrated novel of the same name. The trailer provides a moody and heightened tone which makes this look like a British flick you cannot afford to miss.
A dark romance, MY COUSIN RACHEL tells the story of a young Englishman who plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin, believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms.
My Cousin Rachel arrives in UK cinemas on 7th June, 2017. Stick with Filmoria for much more on this release as it develops.
