

Hail To The King: First Trailer For Marvel’s Black Panther Arrives

The MCU freight train is still running at full speed as the first trailer for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman, has landed online.
Following the character’s on-screen debut in Captain America: Civil War, the newly crowned King T’Challa is back in his homeland. And we are given some brief insight into the myth of Wakanda, and its people. Revealing via Age Of Ultron’s Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) to Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), of how its seemingly unassuming appearance is merely a front….

The teaser clip also offers up first looks of several cast members from the movie. With the aforementioned T’Challa, Klaue and Ross – there are appearances from Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Forrest Whittaker, Angela Bassett, and Michael B. Jordan as antagonist Erik Killmonger.
Whilst plot details are thin, it’s very apparent from this that Marvel are taking cues from some of the themes established in Civil War. Until more is revealed in the future, you can check out the official trailer below.
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther hits theatres on February 16th 2018.
