What was it like doing those great action sequences, Pedro? And Halle, were you like Ginger, wishing you were doing that kind of stuff, or were you actually glad that you weren’t?

Pedro Pascal : I would say that Halle wanted to play Agent Whiskey and I wanted to play Ginger Ale (laughs). Give me the lab coat!

Halle Berry : I would like to be Agent Whiskey. Pedro just wanted to sit on the cushy sound stage all day. Pedro got to ride on a mechanical bull, which no one knows about. So I did covet his role a few times because it looked so much damn fun.

What was it like doing the scene in the cable car, Pedro, being pushed against the wall by the G-Force?

Pedro Pascal : It was tough, real tough. We had a lot of shooting time in that gondola. We went to the Alps, which was gorgeous, really beautiful, and then they built a replica of this gondola, which has the capacity to spin around and around and around with human beings in it. And to make it look as real as it does in the movie, that meant that we did actually have to be spun around. In just one day — and we did more than one day in that — they spun me around 42 times! Don’t you think that’s kind of perverse?

Halle Berry : It is! Did you throw up?

Pedro Pascal : I didn’t throw up . But for the next week when I went to bed, everything kept spinning!

Halle, you’ve not really played a techy, nerd type before. And if there’s a third film, Ginger will be acting in a different capacity…

Halle Berry : I think nerd is a great word. And nerds love being nerds! After Matthew [Vaughn, the director] invited me to be in this movie, that was one of the things that made me really happy. He said that I’d start off as one thing but by the end of the movie, I’d be something else. He told me I’d be wildly happy about it. He didn’t tell me what that was at the time. He just said I’d be wildly happy, and I really am. I love it. It’ s right in my sweet spot and what I love to do.
