CINEMA MADE IN ITALY 2019
When CINEMA MADE IN ITALY returns to London’s Ciné Lumière, Italian cinema lovers will once again be able to sample some of the best recent Italian productions which are on offer, in yet another diverse and enticing programme. The ninth edition of the city’s beloved Italian film festival will take place from 26 February – 3 March. As always, screenings will be followed by film-maker Q&A sessions, giving viewers the chance to become engaged in lively discussions. The line-up includes nine new Italian films plus the 1970 expressionist masterpiece THE CONFORMIST (Il Conformista), in memory of the late Bernardo Bertolucci.

What: Cinema Made in Italy 2019 is a showcase of the best of new Italian cinema plus one classic title and is entering its 9th year in London. Films in this year’s programme include LORO, directed by Paolo Sorrentino – Opening night film; EUFORIA, directed by Valeria Gollino; RICORDI?, directed by Valerio Mieli; LUCIA’S GRACE (TROPPA GRAZIA), directed by Gianni Zinasi; THE GUEST (L’OSPITE), directed by Duccio Chiarini; THE MAN WHO BOUGHT THE MOON (L’UOMO CHE COMPRO LA LUNA), directed by Paolo Zucca; WHEREVER YOU ARE (OVUNQUE PROTEGGEMI), directed by Bonifacio Angius; NOTTI MAGICHE, directed by Paolo Virzi; THE CONFORMIST, directed by Bernardo Bertolucci; WE’LL BE YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL (SAREMO GIOVANI E BELLISSIMI), directed by Letizia Lamartire
