Ahead of it’s eagerly-awaited release, the good folks at Walt Disney Pictures have unveiled a brand-new clip from their live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
The clip – entitled “Gaston” – sees Josh Gad’s loyal fool LeFou singing passionately about his beloved master, Gaston (Luke Evans), in a rowdy bar laden with spectators. The scene has gusto and energy, painting a portrait of Bill Condon’s film being one very much alive with the spirit of the tale as old as time. Give it a spin right here…
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realise the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
Starring Emma Watson as Belle, and Dan Stevens as the Beast, co-starring in addition to Gad and Evans are Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellan, Kevin Kline, Stanley Tucci, Emma Thompson, and Guga Mbatha-Raw.
