After a rather intriguing first teaser for Cars 3 saw a scary moment in which our favourite car, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), was thrust into the air in what looks like a serious crash, Disney have followed up with a much more light-hearted second teaser trailer showcasing two new characters and McQueen himself.

If you’ve ever played video games such as Forza Motorsport then you may be familiar with the introduction to the cars, with the camera highlighting certain close-ups of the cars before they drive off to the appearance of their names. It’s simplistic and yet still builds a certain level of anticipation for a movie that we sincerely hope is much better than its predecessor.

Cars 3 is released in UK cinemas on 14th July.
