As is customary these days for Disney, it will come as no surprise to many that Dumbo is set to be reimagined as a live-action blockbuster movie, with Tim Burton nailed down in the director’s seat and the likes of Eva Green and Danny DeVito already penned in as a French trapeze artist and the owner of a circus company home to Dumbo and his mother.
But as we all know with a Burton movie, he always looks to return to work with many more of his regular collaborators and another may come in the way of Michael Keaton. With the pair last working together on Batman Returns, it appears that Keaton may join the Disney project in another villainous role, with the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming seeing him don the wings for his role as Adrian Toomes AKA The Vulture.
If Keaton were to sign on the dotted line he would be playing the evil Vandemere, a man who owns a rival circus looking to utilise Dumbo for his own dastardly needs.
Clearly on a career resurgence of late, Keaton would add to his list of Tim Burton movies, which include the likes of the Batman movies and Beetlejuice (of which talk of a sequel still goes on) and we can’t argue against the thought of this one being pretty exciting…
