THE CUT is a monthly series of new short films featuring nine high-profile artistic creators lauded for success in their respective creative spheres – from fashion and music to science, art and design – who all have a passion for film and chose the titles that have most inspired them. The second of the short films comes by way of Professor Brian Cox and you can watch it below.

This episode, the BFI talk to leading physicist Professor Brian Cox about the films that matter to him and how they’ve shaped his view of the world. Brian unveils his thoughts on a range of topics from music to philosophy to the universe via film, while perusing the library and archives at the Royal Society in London, where he holds a Fellowship.
