Spellbinding New Moonlight UK Trailer Released

After dominating the Gotham Awards with Best Ensemble Performance, Best Feature, Best Screenplay and the Audience Award, Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight has shifted into one of the key positions in the awards season, and judging from the latest trailer, it’s hard to argue against its momentum.
The story of a young black man going from childhood to adulthood looks very reminiscent of a previous Oscar darling, Boyhood, in its concept but its differences lie in the clear rawness to the ongoing story and a power in the emotions that are on display here. It’s a film that has already gained mass plaudits from critics and really is one of the key movies heading towards the big awards ceremonies next year.

Moonlight hits UK cinemas on 17th February 2017 and stars Naomie Harris, André Holland, Mahershala Ali, Janelle Monáe, Trevante Rhodes, Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome.
