The story depicts his life where he rose from rags to riches by becoming a drug kingpin. Even though the movie had to face the criticism due to the kind of violence, it later got praised by critics.

Once upon a Time in America

The movie revolves around the life of few Jews who rose to popularity through the world of organized crime. Apart from the violence and bloodshed, it even tells the story of friendships, love, betrayal, loss, greed as well as the rise of mobsters in the country. The movie was quite long and so the directed Sergio Leone decided to bring it to the screen in two parts. Due to the influence of the distributors, the movie was cut short twice which apparently failed to impress the audience. The original version was critically acclaimed and is an all time favourite of the people.

The Departed

The Departed is originally a Hong Kong-based movie that got life in Hollywood under the direction of Martin Scorsese. The movie has Leonardo DiCarprio, Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon in the lead roles. The movie is about two characters who ended up becoming moles in the Gangster’s team and Massachusetts State Police respectively. This movie is quite interesting and will keep you on edge throughout.
