Ahead of its World Premiere screening at SXSW Festival – which gets underway in just a few hours time – the first clip from Terrence Malick’s Song to Song has arrived online.
Featuring a stunning all-star cast, the legendary auteur has wrangled the likes of Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Natalie Portman, Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, Hayley Bennent, and Trevante Rhodes for his latest: an ethereal portrait of two swirling romances amidst the Austin, Texas music scene.
The first clip, “Jackets”, is extremely Malick. Narration, sparse background audio, wide angles. Check it out below…
Song to Song opens in US theatres on 17th March, with a UK release date currently pending.
