Gambling movies are insanely interesting. They often combine several genres in one and are jam-packed with action and excitement. It’s no wonder then that the movie industry is quite literally obsessed by trying to show the gambling world on the movie screen.

Gambling movies can be funny, sad, happy, mysterious, nerve-wracking, or described using any other adjective that comes to your mind. The team behind Casino Sites shares our excitement for this genre, so it created an engaging infographic that shares the most interesting facts about the most popular gambling movies.

Here are some of the most insanely fascinating ones.

1.   250 Movies Filmed on the Strip

The Strip is the main street in Las Vegas which is home to some of the most luxurious and breathtaking casino resorts in the world. Naturally, film producers and directors are in love with it and frequently choose it as the location for their movie sets. In the past 70 years, more than 250 gambling-inspired movies have been made here.

2.   Chinese Censors Approved Casino Royale

The Chinese government is well-known for the strict censorship rules regarding all spheres of life. China has a powerful film industry of its own, which is one of the reasons why it prohibits movies made in Hollywood.

However, the public pressure was so high when Casino Royale was released that it had no choice but to allow cinemas to show it.

3.    Ocean’s Eleven Was Supposed to Be Black and White

Yes, you read that right. The Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh originally intended to make this movie in black and white. However, after some consultations with other parties involved, he changed his mind and filmed it in color.

We can’t decide whether we like that idea or not. One is certain — it would have been a completely different viewing experience.

    4. Brad Pitt and the Shrimp Scene

Do you remember the scene in Ocean’s Eleven where Brad Pitt (starring as Rusty) eats shrimp while waiting for Julia Roberts to come down the stairs? It’s one of the most iconic scenes in the movie and one that Brad Pitt will likely remember for the rest of his life.

Namely, he had to eat 40 shrimps while filming that scene, as it needed multiple takes to make everything right. It’s safe to say he probably did not feel like tasting shrimp long after that.

    5. George Clooney Bought a Casino in Las Vegas

Some of George Clooney’s best roles in his career were in casino-related movies. He liked his roles so much that he decided to buy a real land-based casino in Las Vegas. Later on, he even became an investor for a brand-new casino that was planned to be built in Sin City.
