Woody Harrelson Joins Han Solo Spinoff Movie

It has been officially revealed today by Lucasfilm that Woody Harrelson has signed on to star in the currently untitled Han Solo spinoff anthology movie. This will serve as the second in the new assortment of singular Star Wars stories in the wake of Gareth Edwards’ incredible Rogue One.
Harrelson, known for wide-ranging roles in film and TV such as The Hunger Games, No County For Old Men, True Detective, Cheers, and Zombieland, will join actors Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), and HBO’s Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke in the adventure.
The film – like Rogue One – is set during the early scoundrel days of the iconic characters, prior to A New Hope. It will be directed by 21 Jump Street auteurs Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Produced by Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy, and released via Walt Disney, the untitled Han Solo movie is due for a global release in 2018.
