What would you do if you were told that you had an illness that meant you couldn’t even step outside your own home? That is the question that Warner Bros and MGM’s new film Everything, Everything tackles with its main character Maddy, played by Amandla Stenberg.
Things get even more difficult for her when the boy next door Olly (Nick Robinson) takes a shine to her and the pair begin a relationship of sorts via means of messages through windows and texts. An unconventional romance blossoms and as the feelings grow stronger so does Maddy’s desire to forget her illness and head out into the wide world, even if it means just for a short time.
Everything, Everything certainly looks like the kind of film that will captivate a particular audience, with the likes of A Fault In Our Stars and similar films clearly an influence and allowing this to possibly be the next big film to tug at those heartstrings and induce a fair share of tears in the dark and safe environment of the multiplexes.
