Tom Holland Joins Daisy Ridley In Chaos Walking

Doug Liman’s forthcoming YA adaptation Chaos Walking has landed another major franchise star in the shape of Tom Holland. The young Spider-Man: Homecoming star will join Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ Daisy Ridley in the Patrick Ness-written picture.

Holland is set to portray Todd Hewlitt, a boy living in a post-apocalyptic world where a germ his killed all women and living creatures can hear each other’s thoughts through a stream of images, words and sounds called noise. Forced to flee his hometown with his loyal dog, Todd stumbles upon a strange sight – a girl called Viola (Ridley), and together they set off on a white-knuckle journey in which the boy must unlearn everything he knows in order to figure out who he truly is.

Production on Chaos Walking is slated to get underway next year. Holland will soon be seen reprising his role as Peter Parker when Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theatres in July. Ridley will be returning to A Galaxy Far, Far, Away as Rey next December in Rian Johnson’s forthcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII.
